Its from the director of Maheshinte prathikaram & Thondimuthalum driksakhiyum both were critically appreciated and also got good run in theaters, Both picked up many awards during those years. His style of presentation, detailing, realistic story telling were different and movie lovers, especially the malayalm audiences loved and they named his signature style as Pothettan's Brilliance.

In Dileesh story telling the locations plays a important role. In Mahesh a village in Idukki is beautifully set uped. And in Thondimuthal a dry village in Kasaragod district realistically plotted. The locations also contribute great to the success of the film.
In JOJI it is in Pathanamthitta district . Its is in Erumeli. Near Sabarimala. In teaser only one pond is visible..a pond inside a Rubber plantation . In one interview director said the pond was newly built and aged by the art team. Even though it planned for OTT release production team doesn't compramise in production quality.
